Religion is a collection of spiritual beliefs shared by a common group of people. These beliefs often aim to explain why it is we are here. Currently, over eighty percent of people on earth identify with a religious group.
There are currently two categories of religions used by scholars today. These groups being ethnic religions and universal religions.
Universal Religions Edit
World religions are religions that span across cultures and many times they actively seek new converts.
Ethnic Religions Edit
Ethnic religions are defined by the cultures that adhere to them. Conversion to such a religion would require cultural assimilation.
