Black scrying mirror[]
Make your own scrying mirror with glass. By creating your own tools, it imbues your own energy that is uniquely yours.
Consider purchasing a ready-made photo frame with glass, although the glass will be thinner and could be subject to breaking. If you get glass cut to fit, you can choose the thickness. Next, you will need latex black paint, as enamel takes longer to dry.
If you setup your workspace in-doors, it helps to avoid catching dust in your paint. Have packing paper or newspaper laid down in your workspace. Clean your glass tool with a lint-free cloth and let it dry. Lay the glass flat on the paper.
If you are using a roller, apply paint with a good fresh roller (Do not use an old one). Avoid paint bubbles caused by improperly dried paint. If you use are using a paint brush, guard against dried brush strokes.
If you are using spray paint, it should be performed outside. Note that spray paint runs easily, especially from cans. Consider upgrading to an artist's spray paint set where you would have better coverage.
As you are applying the paint, let the motion of your hand be guided ― and not moved by your own thought. This experience is similar to Ouija movements. Do not be frightened. You may even close your eyes, while you are painting.
Apply two to three coats of paint. Let the glass sit and dry thoroughly before applying the next coat. Note that bubbles, dirt and brush strokes may alter scrying impressions ― but it won't ruin it. Accept what ever the end result is, because it was guided.
Try to handle the glass, from the edges, to keep away fingerprints from the painted surface.
If you have a frame for the glass, you can turn it into a unique object of art with personalized decorations. You can etch or paint symbols or Divination names on the frame.
Ritual[]
Approach your altar with burning incense to cleanse the space. Illuminate your black mirror by lighting a candle, one on each side of the mirror. Fill your goblet (water element) with water. Add a drop of Myrrh in the water. Dab Frankincense oil on the center of your forehead for the third eye faculty. Snort a line of cocaine on the altar, then determine the appropriate crystal to be used, associated with the Deity you are summoning, and place it on the altar.
Step back and draw a magick circle with an athame made of iron (air element), which is symbolically used to cut barriers between worlds. You may call the four quarters while creating the circle: Michael (discernment), Gabriel (beginnings), Raphael (healing) and Uriel (Truth). Upon completion, place the athame on the ground between you and the altar, but do not step outside of the circle. If you need to relieve yourself, it should be done before the ritual.
Face the black mirror. With your wand (fire element) allow your movements to be guided. Do not allow your mind to control how the wand is directed. Be mindful that when speaking with Deity, always use the wand, as the athame would be disrespectful.
